Runyan Announces $1.75 Million FEMA Grant to Mantoloking
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jon Runyan (NJ-3) announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded a grant of $1,750,685.63 to Mantoloking for the use of contractors for the demolition, loading, hauling, disposal, and monitoring of Private Property Debris Removal as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
“Immediately following Superstorm Sandy, I saw first-hand the destruction and damage in Mantoloking, and it was without a doubt one of the hardest hit towns,” said Congressman Runyan. “These funds, which focus on debris removal, will ensure that Mantoloking has the resources it needs to be made whole again.”
Congressman Runyan remains focused on ensuring that our coastal communities receive the funds necessary to help them recover and rebuild. Mantoloking now joins a list of several other towns that have received FEMA assistance in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
